The GTA 6 map: every region of Leonida confirmed so far

Rockstar has officially named six distinct regions across the state of Leonida. Here's what's confirmed, and what's still community speculation.

GTA 6 is set in Leonida, Rockstar's fictional reimagining of Florida, with Vice City — its version of Miami — sitting at the centre of the story. Across the two trailers and an official screenshot release, Rockstar has put names to six distinct regions, and these are worth treating differently from the much longer list of locations fan communities have mapped from leaked coordinate data: one is confirmed by Rockstar itself, the other is informed guesswork.

Vice City is the obvious anchor — Art Deco beachfronts, dense downtown high-rises, and an extensive canal and waterway network that makes boats a far more practical way to get around than in any previous GTA game. South of the city, the Leonida Keys recreate the Florida Keys as a chain of bridge-connected islands; this is where Jason and Lucia's starting apartment is shown in Trailer 2, making it one of the more story-relevant regions on the map.

Grassrivers is Rockstar's take on the Everglades — swamps, mangroves, and slow rivers, confirmed as the setting for hunting, fishing, and wildlife encounters including alligators. It's the most unusual biome the series has attempted. Further north, Mount Kalaga National Park brings forested highland terrain, while Port Gellhorn and Ambrosia round out the confirmed list as a faded coastal port town and an industrial, biker-gang-influenced county respectively.

Worth being upfront about what isn't confirmed: Rockstar hasn't published an official map size, though the commonly cited estimate of 1.5–2x GTA V's map comes from extensive community analysis of trailer footage, not an official figure. References to a neighbouring state called Gloriana have shown up on in-game license plates, which confirms it exists in the game's universe but says nothing about whether it's actually playable. Treat both as informed speculation until Rockstar says otherwise — we'll update this piece the moment that changes.
