Two protagonists and a supporting cast Rockstar has actually named — here's everyone confirmed for GTA 6 and how they fit into Leonida's criminal food chain.
01Jason Duval — the wheelman looking for a way out
Jason is one half of GTA 6's dual-protagonist setup. Rockstar's framing: he wants an easy life, but things just keep getting harder. A Keys local who fell into working for drug runners after a stint that taught him how to handle himself, Jason is the getaway-and-firearms half of the pair — his confirmed special ability highlights enemy weak points in slow motion. His personal car, the Vapid Creado, appears throughout trailer footage, and early-game scenes show him living out of low-rent Keys accommodation doing shakedown work. He's written as the reluctant professional: capable, tired of the life, and exactly the kind of character who gets pulled in deeper.
02Lucia Caminos — the first female lead in a mainline GTA
Lucia is the series' first female protagonist in a mainline entry, and Rockstar has built the marketing around her. Fresh out of Leonida State Penitentiary — the first trailer opens with her in prison — Lucia is the driven, calculating half of the duo: her confirmed special ability locks onto a single target for a precision shot. Her arc is about fighting for her family and refusing to be defined by the fall that put her inside. The story's central question, in Rockstar's own framing, is how far she and Jason will go for each other once the easy money turns into a statewide conspiracy.
03The Bonnie and Clyde dynamic
GTA 6's structure is a criminal couple, not GTA 5's three-way split. Jason and Lucia share the story, share safehouses, and in open-world play you can switch between them — with a dual mode where both are active in the same scene. That makes the relationship itself the story engine: trailers lean hard into trust, betrayal-risk and mutual dependence. Mechanically, expect missions built around two-handed jobs — one drives, one shoots; one distracts, one robs. If Rockstar delivers on the setup, the question of whether these two make it out together is the actual plot, and every named character below is either help or a threat to that.
04Cal Hampton — the paranoid friend
Cal is Jason's friend and a self-styled conspiracy guy: the type, per Rockstar's official description, who would rather stay home, drink beer, listen in on Coast Guard chatter and spiral into online rabbit holes. Characters like Cal traditionally fill the tech-and-information role in Rockstar stories — the one who knows what the police are doing and which shipments are worth hitting. Expect him to be an early-game mission source connected to Jason's smuggling world, and expect at least some of his paranoia to turn out to be justified. He's also a likely comic-relief anchor in a story that otherwise runs dark.
05The Vice City money: Boobie Ike, Dre'Quan Priest and Real Dimez
Three names anchor the Vice City entertainment economy. Boobie Ike is a local legend who converted street reputation into an empire of real estate, strip clubs and recording studios — old money by street standards, and a gatekeeper for anyone trying to rise. Dre'Quan Priest runs in the music and nightlife scene, straddling the line between legitimate industry and the criminal networks behind it. Real Dimez — the duo of Bae-Luxe and Roxy — are the social-media layer: maximum public visibility, underworld connections underneath. Together they form the glamour half of the story, the counterweight to Port Gellhorn's pawn shops, and the likeliest route for Lucia and Jason into serious Vice City money.
06The professionals: Raul Bautista and Brian Heder
Raul Bautista is a seasoned bank robber scouting for talent ready to take big risks for big rewards — in a GTA game, that job description tells you exactly what he's for: expect Bautista to be the heist architect who gives the mid-game its structure. Brian Heder is the other end of the ladder — the Keys fixer who puts Jason and Lucia up rent-free in exchange for debt-collection and shakedown work, with ties to the smuggling routes through southern Leonida. Between them they map the pair's likely trajectory: Heder's small-time hustles at the start, Bautista's serious scores once the duo have proven themselves.
