GTA 6 Ambrosia guide: sugar refineries, biker gangs, and Lake Leonida

A company town run by a refinery, policed by a biker gang, and heading into a rigged mayoral election. Ambrosia might be GTA 6's most political region — here's what's confirmed.

01What Ambrosia is

Ambrosia is a rural-industrial county town in central Leonida, sitting on the southwestern bank of Lake Leonida — the map's great inland lake. Rockstar's framing: sugar refineries, biker gangs and old-school American grit. The real-world inspiration is widely identified as Clewiston, Florida, a genuine company town that calls itself America's Sweetest City because the sugar industry built and still runs it. That template matters for reading the region: Ambrosia isn't a city with an industry, it's an industry with a town attached — and everything confirmed about it flows from that power structure.

02Allied Crystal — the company that owns the town

Ambrosia's largest employer is Allied Crystal, whose sprawling sugar refinery complex and smokestacks dominate the skyline and are likely to anchor key missions. Company towns are perfect Rockstar material: one employer controlling wages, land and local politics is a machine for generating desperate people and dirty money. And the politics are explicit — Ambrosia is confirmed to be undergoing a mayoral election during the story, with Allied Crystal openly sponsoring candidate Erin Henshaw's bid. A corporate-bought election in a one-company town is about as loud as environmental storytelling gets; expect the refinery, the campaign and the town's underworld to be tangled into the same mission chain.

03The Final Chapter MC — order without law

Ambrosia's underground economy runs through the Final Chapter MC, a biker gang confirmed to wield serious influence in the region — enforcing order where formal authority is thin or bought. This is the first properly detailed biker faction in a mainline GTA since The Lost, and their positioning is telling: not street-level chaos, but a parallel power structure alongside the company and the compromised local state. For gameplay, biker gangs historically mean protection rackets, contraband distribution and heavy mid-game combat. Whether Jason and Lucia work for them, against them, or both in sequence, expect the MC to be Ambrosia's mission economy the way Allied Crystal is its legitimate one.

04Why Ambrosia matters at launch

Ambrosia's practical significance is its position and its contrast. Lake Leonida connects it to the water-traversal network, its industrial estates offer the kind of warehouse-and-machinery mission spaces the coastal regions lack, and its location makes it a crossroads between the Grassrivers swamps, the Gulf coast and the northern wilderness. Tonally it's the map's working-class interior — the anti-Vice-City — and the confirmed election subplot suggests Rockstar is using it to carry the story's political satire. For launch week: expect gang territory to make free roam here spikier than the tourist coast, and expect the refinery complex to be one of the game's signature mission locations. We'll be pinning confirmed Ambrosia locations in the map hub as players verify them.
